Catch-up

Wow, time never slows down! I can't even begin to remember everything that's happened in the last month. I started my new part-time job as the preschool/nursery coordinator at church. Basically, I'm in charge of scheduling volunteers, workers, activities, etc for all our kids younger than kindergarten age. It has kept me pretty busy lately. I'm also beginning to work on the trunk or treat for our church...wow, is it only 4 weeks away?

Becca is loving preschool but it's hard to find out what she does for the 3 hours she's in school. Normally she tells me they played outside. Although she did tell me that they worked on the letter "D". I'm glad to tell you, I passed the background check in order to volunteer in her classroom. (I know some of you were worried about that) I hope to be able to go on field trips and help in other ways too. Unfortunately, the first field trip to Christian Way Farms is 5 days after my eye surgery so not sure I'm going to be up for that one. As a librarian, books are one of my weaknesses. Becca will be bringing home book orders once a month and I am going to have to budget myself. It's so hard not to support her school. (at least that's what I told myself when I bought books this last time)

Right now Becca has the flu and an ear infection. We waited in Convenient Care on Saturday for 5 hours. Luckily, Barrett is an easy baby and he didn't fuss much at all. She's run a fever off and on since Thursday and has a bad cough and stuffy nose. The hardest part is to try to keep her from coughing and sneezing all over the place and keep her hands off too many things. The last thing I want is any of us to get sick but am most concerned about Barrett. His little body wouldn't handle it as well.

Barrett is really getting so sweet and his little personality is showing through. He truly is a joy. Below is a video of him discovering a new toy and cracking up. Also, there are some pictures of him with a little girl I was watching a few times this last month. It was really cute to see them together.
